Taylor is a Bay Area native hailing from Fairfield, CA, now residing in New York City.
After starting piano lessons at age 7, she soon performed regularly with her high school bands. At age 11, a friend introduced Taylor to musical theater and she never looked back. She soon became a Bay Area favorite and was featured in many shows through out the region including a turn as the titular character in Mary Poppins at Berkeley Playhouse, Anita in West Side Story at Broadway by the Bay, Wendla in Spring Awakening at CenterRep, and one of her favorite roles to date, Rae in The Unfortunates at A.C.T.
In addition to performing on stage in the Bay, Taylor was regularly seen singing the national anthem at The Oakland-Alameda Coliseum for the Oakland A’s professional baseball team.
After Taylor hit the road with the national tour of American Idiot as Extraordinary Girl, she trained at A.C.T. in their first ever San Francisco Semester program. She moved to New York City in the fall of 2016.
It wasn’t long before her dreams came true and she was cast in her first Broadway show: Tim Minchin’s Groundhog Day. Taylor sang and danced 8 times a week at the August Wilson theater as Lady Storm Chaser in the ensemble and additionally understudied the lead character Rita.
Outside of training and work, she has graced cabaret stages throughout the city in concerts at venues such as Feinstein’s 54 Below and Green Room 42.
Most recently, Taylor was cast as Mopsa in the Original Broadway production Head Over Heels, currently running at the Hudson Theater in New York City .
